The Artwork
In 2017, I had the honor of designing the official flyer for Hayes Pullard’s 3rd Annual Jacksonville Jaguars Football Camp, held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, CA, the very school where Hayes grew up and played before going on to play at USC and in the NFL.
Working with Hayes Pullard was a special experience. He is a former USC Trojan and Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker known not only for his on-field skills but for his deep roots in the Los Angeles community. As a Jaguars player at the time, Hayes gave back to his home community by organizing this free football camp for local youth, featuring a star-studded “Dream Team” of fellow NFL players including Robert Woods, Marqise Lee, Dion Bailey, Calais Clay, Malik Jackson, and many more. During his time with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2015 to 2017), Hayes was a standout linebacker known for his football IQ, physicality, and leadership. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 7th round (219th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, and was signed by the Jaguars later that same season. He earned Second-Team All-Pac-12 honors in 2013 at USC, led the Trojans in tackles for three consecutive seasons, a first in the program since 1979, and was elected team co-captain by his peers. With the Jaguars, he was a respected presence on the defense, and his leadership extended beyond the field into community events like this camp.
I was proud to be a part of this event and to use my design skills to represent Hayes and the Jacksonville Jaguars brand. The flyer captured the energy of the event: bold typography, the Jaguars branding, and a powerful image of Hayes in uniform, ready to inspire the next generation of athletes.
